First Slice 6-28-17: Trouble at 2 Chainz’s Trap house
Plus: Ponce City Market developer loves him some gentrification
That’s discrete: The all-pink “Trap House” on Howell Mill Road 2 Chainz curated for a music video has been getting a lot of attention lately. But after the artist found out the beat-up, bright pink car parked outside had been towed for potentially being a safety hazard, he installed a replacement: a yellow Lamborghini.
Ugly: An unnamed APD officer is on administrative leave after video surfaced recently of him punching a guy in the head while trying to arrest him.
It’s all about who you know: Emory University filed a petition yesterday to be formally annexed to the City of Atlanta.
Hmm: The developer of Ponce City Market ain’t afraid to say he’s all for a little bit of gentrification.
Hold up: Republicans in the Senate have decided to hold off on putting their new health care bill up for a vote until after the July recess. Meanwhile, our own Sen. David Perdue is calling for the August recess to be canceled because there’s just not enough time to do everything.
